In response to my silent question (I was speechless from surprise) my neighbor said that she smelled a peculiar odor which was like a mixture of rotten raspberries and old cognac.
In fact, I am at a loss, because I have never smelled anything like that before. I asked my husband, my children, and they also deny any foreign odors. But then the older child remembered how from time to time in the past 2 weeks in the morning there were red spots on the body. Most often they appear on the hands and feet, less often on the back and abdomen.
Now I was upset, it turns out that the apartment is infested with unpleasant parasites - house bugs, close-up photos I already had the pleasure to see. But I have not encountered them myself. Could you tell by the description of the bites what is attacking: the spots are 5 mm apart, each up to 2 cm in diameter, itching, appearing in the morning. Thank you.

I can only give a preliminary conclusion from your description. Indeed, this is how bed bugs bite. But they are called bed bugs, although different definitions are popular: apartment bugs, laundry bugs, etc. Parasites attack at night, inject a substance that prevents the development of allergic reactions in the human body for 30-40 minutes, at the end of this period there are complete bite marks. I would also add that the red spots are not always there, and in the center there remains a dot of dark color. Otherwise, you correctly gave a description of the bite of a bed bug, you can see a photo with the names and descriptions for reassurance.
